There are a few different ways to take the Uppababy car seat out of its base.

Option 1: Use the Latch and Handle
The first way to remove the Uppababy car seat is to use the latch and handle.
To do this, locate the latch and handle on either side of the car seat, next to the base. Push down on one of these handles until it clicks into place, then pull up on it until it releases from the base. The car seat should now be able to be lifted off of its base.

To do this, first loosen one of the quick-release screws on each side of the footrest by turning it counterclockwise (see photo). Then, lift up on one end of the footrest and pull it away from the rest of the car seat. The car seat can now be removed from its base.
