How To Release A Car Jack

If you have a car with a driver’s side door that can be opened from the outside, there is a chance that your car’s jack is stuck in the door. In this article, we will show you how to release the car jack so that you can open the door.

Location:

In order to release a car jack, the jack must be located in the front or the rear of the vehicle. Next, use a screwdriver to loosen the lugnuts on each side of the jack. While holding onto the handle, pull the jack out of the car. Finally, remove the screws and lugnuts and store them safely away.

Materials:

-A car jack
-Lubricant (such as WD-40)
-Screwdriver
-Straw
-Tarp

1. Remove the wheel from the car.
2. Open the car jack and position it over the axle of the wheel that you want to remove.
3. Lubricate the screwdriver with lubricant and screw it into the jack handle.
4. Place a straw over the end of the screwdriver and push down on it, twisting it as you go, to loosen the axle nut.
5. Carefully remove the nut and wheel by hand, being sure to hold onto the straw so that you don’t lose any of the lubricant.
6. Replace the nut and wheel on the axle of the other wheel, tightening them with a screwdriver.
7. Hide the tools used in step 4 and 5 by putting them in a straw, then placing them inside a tarp before replacing the tarp on top of the car jack.

Preparation:

1. The first step to releasing a car jack is to remove the key from the ignition.
2. Next, remove the cables that attach the jack to the car.
3. Finally, use a wrench to loosen the bolt on the jack handle.
4. Twist the handle until it can be removed from the jack shaft.
5. Make sure the bolt on the jack shaft is also loose before moving on to step 6.
6. Place one end of the Jack Strap over one of the car’s wheel nuts and tighten with your wrench.
7. Repeat this process with the other end of the Jack Strap, positioning it over one of the jack shaft bolts (Figure 1).
8. Once both straps are secured, turn both nuts clockwise using your wrench (Figure 2).
9. Carefully lift up on both straps and disconnect them from each bolt (Figure 3).
10. Remove both bolts from the jack shaft and set them aside in a safe place (Figure 4).
11. Remove the Jack Handle from the jack shaft (Figure 5).
