How To Depress Tumbler In Car Ignition

Have you ever had that sinking feeling when you try to start your car and it just won’t turn over? This can be frustrating and lead to unnecessary trips to the mechanic. In this blog post, we will show you how to depress the tumbler in a car ignition so that you can start your car easily.

What You’ll Need

What You’ll Need:

-Tumbler
-Lighter
-Car ignition key
-WD40 or similar oil solvent
-Rags or a cloth to clean the area where the Tumbler was used

Basic Procedures

The following procedures will depress the ignition coil in a car. WARNING: This procedure should only be performed by a trained technician or under the supervision of a qualified mechanic. If done incorrectly, it can cause serious engine damage.

1. Locate the key to your car. On most cars, the key is located in the center console or below the steering wheel.
2. Remove the battery cover located on the underside of your car.
3. Locate and remove the spark plugs from the engine.
4. Disconnect each wire connected to each spark plug (see pictures below).
5. Carefully place a weight on each spark plug and hold for 10 seconds (see pictures below).
6. Reinstall all spark plugs and tighten with a wrench to 18 inch pounds (see pictures below).
7. Replace battery cover and tighten screws to ensure proper fit (see pictures below).

Troubleshooting

If your car won’t start, there are a few things to check. First, make sure the battery is fully charged. Second, try checking all of the fuses. Third, make sure the key is turned all the way in. Fourth, check that the car’s ignition switch is turned to the “on” position. Fifth, try turning on the car using an alternate power source like a phone charger. Sixth, if you still can’t get your car started, it may need to be towed to a mechanic or auto repair shop.
